  • By Rail: There is no direct train to Krabi province, we mean Koh Lanta also; However, for those who prefer a classic trip traveling by train, Trang (province) Train Station is the nearest station to reach Krabi province. In fact, Koh Lanta is nearer destination than Krabi province, if visitors would like to travel by train. After check-out from the train, catching a bus or Taxi to get Koh Lanta respectively, then waiting a ferry crossing the sea for transfering other passengers to Lanta Yai Island or vice versa.   • By Private Car: From Bangkok,
     

    1) driving along the National Highway #35 (Thon Buri-Pak Tho route) via Samut Songkram province then reaching to Highway #4 or A2 or else AH2 (Petchkasem Road--the main route through Southern) via Phetchaburi province and Hua Hin to Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon ,Ranong and Phang Nga provinces. Passing Takua Tung and Thap Put districts taking along this route going to Ao Luek district. Go Straight on this route about 1 hour, then you will see the welcome board of Krabi.Total distance is 946 kilometers. And then turn traffic light to left hand reaching to Krabi International Airport or Trang province (In fact, Koh Lanta driving the same high-way of Trang depends on high-way #4). Passing Nuea Khlong and Khlong Thom districts around 1 hour driving along the route till the sign board "Koh Lanta" appeared. Turning the traffic light to right hand reaching the high-way #4206, driving along the mangrove road around 30 minutes the, Ticket Booth is located on mainland before reaching the islands.

    When reaching Chumphon, Alterating, taking Highway #41 passing Lang Suan and Tha Chana through Wiang Sa districts of Surat Thani province (last two ones), then taking the Highway #4035 to Ao Luek district and then turning back to the Highway #4 again. Driving through traffic along this route, then you will see the welcome board of Krabi.Total distance is 814 kilometers.And then turn traffic light to left hand reaching to Krabi International Airport or Trang province (In fact, Koh Lanta driving the same high-way of Trang depends on high-way #4). Passing Nuea Khlong and Khlong Thom districts around 1 hour driving along the route till the sign board "Koh Lanta" appeared. Turning the traffic light to right hand reaching the high-way #4206, driving along the mangrove road around 30 minutes, the Ticket Booth is located on mainland before reaching the islands--start from Hua Hin to Khlong Mak (for Koh Lanta Noi) and Langsod to Saladan (Koh Lanta Yai).
