Mr. Long Bar
“Drinks and Live Music”
My friends and I were wandering aimlessly down the street when we heard some Reggae music, pulling us in its direction. We found Mr. Long Bar and decided to check it out. It was pretty dead, the four of us and a couple, but as the music continued it began to fill up and spill over into the sidewalk. The lighting and decor put us in a trance with the funky reggae beats. It's such a neat dive bar, with stacks upon stacks of books, glass-topped tables filled with a variety of currency and old lighters/cigarette packs, murals of the owner (a Thai Che) and a solid selection of libations. The drinks are about the same price as the rest in Ao Nang, but if you're looking for a chill space to continue enjoying the day's beach-vibes, this is it.
And if the Thai dude with the beehive dreads is playing, that's a particularly tasty treat.
Location : Ao Nang, Krabi.
Open Daily 9.30 pm. - 00.00 am.
